About Chapel Jazz

ChapelJazz is a festival which is held in the historic village of Morpeth on the 3rd weekend of May each year. Morpeth is built on the banks of the Hunter River in the Hunter Valley NSW. This inviting village is packed with antiques, art galleries, jewellery, dress and coffee shops, tea rooms and restaurants, all within an easy walk.

Traditional Jazz Music is played in the churches and their surrounding grounds, various business premises and pubs.

The aim of ChapelJazz is to present traditional jazz in a welcoming environment to jazz lovers and their families and provide an enjoyable community experience.

Everything is FREE except the Friday night Jazz Dinner Dance.

However, we do  need to cover our costs and so we are sincerely grateful to our sponsors and members of the  Morpeth Business Association. Please patronise Morpeth businesses and help to keep this a free event by buying raffle tickets, tea,  coffee and refreshments at the performance venues and throughout the village centre.
